THE Libyan Investment arm has (LAP) vowed to spread it telecommunication services to cover the entire African continent. LAP Green, as the investment portfolio is called, has five telecommunications companies in Africa. They include Uganda Telecom, Rwandatel, Green Networks in Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone and Togo. Uganda Telecom’s managing director, Engineer Abdulbaset Elazzabi said they are in the process of acquiring more networks to fulfill their dream of covering the continent. “We have extended our footprint to five countries in Africa and we are offering a wide range of telecommunications services in all of these countries,” he said on Tuesday after their annual CEOs meeting in Kampala.
