NOC holds a meeting with oil companies

NOC Chairman and Members of the Board of Directors held a meeting on Wednesday 09 August 2017 with Chairmen of the Management Committees of oil companies- at NOC headquarters- and the Arabian Gulf Oil Company and Sirte Oil Co. for Production & Processing of Oil and Gas, via the closed circuit.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, Chairman of the Board of Directors, welcomed the attendees and explained that Jowfe Oil Technology had been going through a difficult time because of the destruction that affected its locations; yet the Company, despite its suffering, would certainly manage to resume its usual activity, thanks to its determined and persistent employees. He also reminded the Company's Management Committee of the necessity of making a clear work plan to dominate the work market by its well-known expertise and competencies in this field.  

 

 Jowfe Oil Technology Company  gave a visual presentation contained the Company's current position and the destruction that it incurred as a result of the events took place in the locations of the Company and the efforts made by the Company so far including maintenance and reconstruction in cooperation with some civil societies institutions in Benghazi city. The presentation also included the number of employees at the Company, distribution of departments, the number of workshops and warehouses owned by the Company. In addition to that, the presentation showed the services supporting drilling, production operations, and the operations covered by the Company in different oil fields besides the Company's efforts to update the work system at the Company as per the latest technologies in this field.

 

For his part, Mr. Majdi Jibril Ed-dersi, Chairman of the Management Committee of Jowfe Oil Technology, explained that the Company's activity stopped in general because of the interruption of drilling activity and that the Company was ready to deliver its services in competitive prices and was waiting for support and assistance from the oil companies to do so.

He also explained that despite of the huge damage, the Company fulfilled its obligations from alternative locations and by getting assistance from external sources and that Jowfe Oil Technology Company had the ability to meet the demands of works associated with wells maintenance and some other works associated with production operations.

 

Messrs Chairman and Members of the Board of Directors and Chairmen of the Management Committees of the companies made comments that mostly asserted supporting and standing by Jowfe Oil Technology materially and technically and assigning some drilling and production associated services works. They also asserted the necessity of granting the Company confidence again, at the same time, stressing the importance of the existence of a clear strategy for the Management Committee to enable it to convince the working companies to compete and provide services.

 

On the other hand, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla stated that NOC was working hard to support Jowfe Oil Technology and other services companies urging Jowfe Oil Technology to perform its works professionally and supply with competitive services to the international companies; particularly that it had national personnel of high international experience and competency. He pointed out that drilling would witness a huge activity in the near future and reminded the oil companies of the necessity of giving Jowfe Oil Technology business opportunities.

 

It is worth mentioning that Jowfe Oil Technology Company is one of NOC companies, which was established in 1983 and is the only national company specializing in several services activities associated with exploration, drilling and production of oil and gas operations.
